MARTINEZ COW CAMP
WELCOME TO THE MARTINEZ COW CAMP!
PRIZED LAND, PROUD HERITAGE
Part of the CS Ranch family workings, the Martinez Canyon country has a rich history that was built on a hard days work by tough folks that loved and nurtured both the land and it’s animals. What you experience here is the result of a lot of sweat by folks committed to the land, because the land has been, and still is their livelihood. Those original pioneers are now memories seen in remnants throughout the ranch. The CS family legacy is still hard at work throughout this incredible country doing what they have done since 1873. To hunt these hallowed lands is something special and reverent.
INCREDIBLE HABITAT THAT CHECKS ALL THE BOXES
Located in New Mexico Game Unit 48, The Martinez Canyon has everything needed for exceptional animals and hunting. The La Grulla Ridge is the prominent feature and just one of the locations providing excellent bedding areas that flow down to multiple creek and spring fed valleys. Large grass filled vistas, hidden meadows and incredible terrain features check all the boxes when it comes to bedding, feed and water.
You will hear names like Windy Gap, Whites Vega, Kent’s Park, Alien Rock, Valdez , Potato Patch, the Bench and Triangle Park. Names that will be seared into your memory by the incredible beauty and experiences of a lifetime.
**WEATHER CONDITIONS COULD MAKE GETTING INTO THE RANCH DIFFICULT.
MARTINEZ COW CAMP FLY-OVER
The Martinez Cow camp is a remote destination. The trip is rugged access requiring a 4-Wheel drive vehicle. These ARE NOT gravel roads. If you pull a UTV trailer, we recommend higher clearance and spare tires. Be ready.
Cell service gets left behind once you leave the pavement and once you leave NM-120 (Dirt Road) it’s 8.4 miles of off-road travel that may take an hour for most. You had better have what you need because “Town” is about an hour and a half jaunt.
Weather dependent, winter travel can be very difficult if not impassable at times. Chains, shovel and wench or “Come-along” are important precautions.
COULD YOU buy a $10,000 HUNT FOR ONLY $325?
BE READY FOR REMOTE
If it doesn’t happen the moment you leave the pavement, the first time you come out of the forest into the immense high vistas, you will be immediately struck by the vastness and majesty of this incredible and remote country.
With Spruce Hill off to your left and Aspen Mountain standing proud off to your right as you bounce across rough mountain roads, the ride in alone is an experience you will want to call home about! But you will have to wait or write it in a journal, because cell service will disappear with the paved road!
